NEW STUDY LINKS PRETERM BIRTH WITH MICROBES IN MOM’S BODY

New study from Stanford reported in the AP demonstrates a change in the normal bacteria of the vagina (vaginal microbiome) and more specifically, low levels of lactobacilli, was linked to premature birth.  There is still more research to be performed on how this can be applied clinically, but very important research which can hopefully decrease preterm births in the future.
